The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) is the largest school board in Ottawa, the nation's capital, a showcase for Canadian history and culture where international students can experience the best of the country all in one place.

With 138 schools including 25 high schools and 113 elementary schools, OCDSB provides international students with instruction from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12.
International students for elementary schools (Kindergarten to Grade 8) are placed in a grade age-appropriately and assigned into a school based on their residential address in Ottawa.

International students for secondary schools (Grades 9-12) have the opportunity to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) which opens doors to higher learning institutions around the world. Students benefit from the many opportunities offered to study in programs that best suit their specific needs. Students can opt to study over one semester, a full year, or continue on and graduate with OSSD.
Students with strong English language skills can apply for AP Courses (Advanced Placement) or the IB Program (International Baccalaureate). Students requiring extra English instruction will benefit from the school board’s integration of ESL Program (English as a Second Language) within the regular school curriculum at 6 high schools with ESL program.

Homestay Program is available for international students to live with Canadian families providing a stable, caring and comfortable home life.
